This project rebranded Deadrise (a pizza joint) to Deadrise Italian Kitchen - a restaurant that is at once family-friendly and features a full bar with craft cocktails.

Located in the walkable Chesapeake Bay neighborhood of Cape Charles, Virginia, Deadrise is proud to serve a local clientele of regulars, as well as seasonal visitors who rave that the brick-oven pizza is “the best they’ve every had.”

While working on this project, we were careful to evolve the restaurant’s brand personality so that it would meet the standard of the elevated food and drink, while also maintaining the comfortable “at home” feel that locals had come to love.

After repositioning and rebranding our restaurant, we saw a remarkable increase in sales, more than doubling our off-season numbers.

The logo mark is inspired by the name of the restaurant and pays homage to both a wood-fired grill and a Deadrise boat on the water. Deadrise boats originated from the Chesapeake Bay area and the “deadrise” is the distance from the bottom to the top of the hull.
